The Story of the Sissy
Once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one, is a life diminished. Sissy was just that – a wonderful dog and best friend to Jon Wolfe for over 12 years. Though a dog’s life is never long enough, we thought she would love this soft, feminine drink with a bit of a bite. We could think of no better way to memorialize the memory of Sissy.

This must-see tavern caught Jon’s eye on one of his first visits to Tequila during his search for the flavor that would become Juan Lobo Tequila. Jon was honored to meet the owner of this bar, the legendary Don Javier Delgado. For decades, Don Javier has been serving up his famous creation, the Batanga. He says the secret ingredient is the old knife he uses to stir up the cocktail just before he slides it across the bar to thirsty patrons. Here’s to you, Don Javier!
